IEOCC Best Practice: Pharmacist-Prescriber Practice Agreements

IEOCC's Safe Prescribing Workgroup encourages pharmacists and prescribers to use Collaborative Practice Agreements in their work together in treating opioid use disorders, and in managing pain medication prescriptions. The California State Board of Pharmacy published this short Pharmacist Protocol for Management of Opioid Use Disorders for pharmacists' use. Keith Fujinaga, PharmD, of Inland Behavioral Health Services, Inc. and a strong patient advocate, shared his organization's Broader Practice Agreement as an example of a multi-condition template for opioid use disorder among a broad range of patient needs and health conditions. Thanks, Dr. Keith!
