SBCYOR New Study on Improving Access to Evidence- Based Medical Treatment for Opioid Use

Dr. Michael Neeki, an IEOCC steering committee member and physician leader in San Bernardino County, recently published a study on San Bernardino County's Youth Opioid Response (SBCYOR) for at-risk youth with evidence-based medical treatment. This study included youth aged 12 to 24 years identified through San Bernardino County’s correctional, educational, and healthcare systems. Among youth who were were referred to MAT treatment in the program, 27% youths received both MAT and behavioral health support.
